Energetic wellness services with a holistic focus. Integrative, trauma-informed care for mind and body health and wellness.
Nourish and awaken the nervous system. A non-invasive application of Polyvagal Theory, based on decades of research and developed.
Trauma-informed, attachment-focused, nervous-system-centered care for meaningful and sustainable change.
Sometimes we understand exactly why we feel the way we do, and our bodies still haven’t gotten the message that we’re safe.
At High Vibrational Healing, I help people move beyond simply managing symptoms to better understand and support the nervous system underneath them.
My work integrates trauma therapy, attachment, EMDR, somatic approaches, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and nervous-system-focused interventions to support greater regulation, connection, agency, resilience, and capacity for joy.
Trauma, attachment, EMDR & somatic therapy
Healing isn’t just about talking through what happened. Our experiences can shape the ways our bodies respond to relationships, stress, conflict, uncertainty, and even rest.
My therapeutic approach combines evidence-informed trauma treatment with attachment-focused, somatic, and nervous-system-based practices to help clients understand their patterns, process painful experiences, and develop greater flexibility and safety within themselves and their relationships.
*Please note that at this time, I am not able to accept new clients in my practice. Please keep reading for other available options to work with me!
Safety. Regulation. Connection.
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a sound-based listening intervention developed by Dr. Stephen Porges and informed by Polyvagal Theory.
Using specially processed music, SSP is designed to support autonomic regulation, auditory processing, and the physiological foundations of safety and social engagement.
I offer SSP through a guided independent listening program, allowing you to complete most of your listening at home while receiving individualized pacing, progress monitoring, and professional support.
You do not need to be an ongoing therapy client to participate.

Rest. Recover. Restore.
Sometimes your nervous system doesn’t need more insight.
It needs an opportunity to rest.
The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) is a sound-based listening program designed to support physiological regulation, restoration, interoception, and the body’s capacity to recover from stress.
RRP may be particularly relevant for people experiencing chronic stress or fatigue, difficulty settling, sleep challenges, physical tension, or a sense of being perpetually “wired but tired.”
Like SSP, RRP is available through my guided independent listening model and does not require you to become an ongoing psychotherapy client.

Maybe you’ve done therapy before.
Maybe you understand your trauma.
Maybe you’ve read the books, practiced the coping skills, set boundaries, learned about attachment, journaled, meditated, and become remarkably good at explaining exactly why you react the way you do.
And yet…
Your shoulders still tense.
Your mind still races.
Conflict still feels enormous.
Rest makes you uncomfortable.
Certain sounds or environments overwhelm you.
You shut down when you want to stay present.
Or your body seems to react before your thinking brain has any say in the matter.
This doesn’t mean you’ve failed at healing.
It may mean there is another part of the story to explore:
your nervous system.
I’m Amanda M. Edwards, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, attachment, and nervous-system-informed care.
I don’t believe there is one perfect therapeutic technique that works for every person.
Instead, I draw from approaches including:
Together, we can become curious about not only what you’re experiencing, but what your nervous system may be trying to accomplish through those responses.
Because the behaviors we sometimes judge most harshly—overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, over-functioning, avoidance, control, often make much more sense when we understand what they’re trying to protect.
Sometimes the mind already understands what the body is still learning.
That’s one reason I offer the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP).
Both are provider-guided listening programs informed by the work of Dr. Stephen Porges and Polyvagal Theory, but they approach nervous-system support somewhat differently.
SSP focuses primarily on supporting safety, regulation, sensory processing, and social connection.
RRP focuses primarily on supporting restoration, physiological balance, interoception, and recovery from stress.
You don’t need to know which one you need before reaching out.
We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you’d like to change, and how your nervous system tends to respond—and determine together which program may be the best starting point.
Includes:
Add a second program: $400
Additional individual sessions: $150
Payment plans are available.
High Vibrational Healing has evolved over the years, just as I have.
The name has always represented my belief that mental health cannot be separated neatly from the body—and that healing can include science, embodiment, creativity, connection, meaning, mindfulness, and intuition.
I don’t believe healing requires us to choose between understanding the brain and listening to the body.
I believe there’s room for both.
Today, my work brings that philosophy together through trauma treatment, attachment work, somatic practices, Polyvagal Theory, nervous-system education, mindfulness, and sound-based nervous system interventions.
The goal isn’t to become a perfectly regulated human being.
It’s to develop more capacity.
More capacity to experience emotion without becoming consumed by it.
More capacity to remain connected during difficulty.
More capacity to recognize what your body needs.
More capacity to rest.
More capacity to recover.
More capacity to choose your response instead of automatically repeating an old survival pattern.
And, ultimately, more capacity to fully participate in your own life.
My ongoing psychotherapy practice is intentionally small, and I am not currently accepting new ongoing therapy clients.
However, I am accepting new clients for Safe and Sound Protocol and Rest and Restore Protocol services.
You do not need to become a regular therapy client in order to participate in either listening program.
If you’re looking for ongoing psychotherapy and would like help identifying another provider, you’re welcome to contact me for referrals to clinicians I trust.
You don’t have to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out.
If you’re interested in SSP or RRP, we’ll start with a conversation about what you’re experiencing, what you’re hoping will change, and whether a nervous-system listening program is an appropriate fit.
Your nervous system has spent a lifetime learning how to protect you.
Maybe the next chapter is helping it discover what else is possible.
The Safe and Sound Protocol™ and Rest and Restore Protocol™ are provider-guided listening interventions and are not intended to diagnose, cure, or independently treat any medical, psychiatric, developmental, or psychological condition. Individual responses vary, and specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
SSP and RRP do not replace psychotherapy, medical treatment, psychiatric treatment, prescribed medication, or emergency mental health services.
